Rebecca Drobis was commissioned to update and replenish a custom image archive for Children’s National Medical System, which serves thousands of children and families across the Washington D.C. metro area and beyond. Rebecca documented over 100 patients, doctors, nurses and families from waiting rooms to intensive care units, including infants in the NICU. Children’s National is one of the nation’s top NIH-funded pediatric institutions, and includes National Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Division of Oncology, Children’s National Heart Institute, and Children's National Division of Neurosurgery—images of which are now featured in the photographic archive. This inspiring collaboration yielded a library of images that CNMS utilizes for their internal and external communications and marketing campaign, “Grow Up Stronger,” illustrating their mission to help kids have brighter, healthier futures; not just growing up, but growing up stronger.. Rebecca is proud to partner with Children’s National to document the outstanding work to heal some of the D.C. area’s youngest—and strongest—patients. Due to patient privacy and HIPPA regulations, this gallery contains a limited set of images from the original commission.
